Litterbugs

Just today I watched a guy load his boat onto a trailer- as he pulled it out of the water a styrafoam container that you would buy crawlers in blew in the water. The guy unloaded his boat again and went and got the container- Just goes to show you that not all people are litterbugs

one of the easyest things i do is leav a bucket in my boat fill it with my trash and the trash i pick up put it under the dash and when i get home to clean out my boat and put it away i just throw the trash in my garbage i dont see how people can do it when its just that simple to just hang on to it. i have seen lots of people pick up trash in the winter so it goes to show there are people out there not littering.

Reading this thread brings up my BIGGEST pet peeve in the world- or at least the one I am thinking about right now.

Cigarette Butts....I do not understand why people think that they can just toss their butts out the window of their vehicles like the world is their personal ash tray. I bought a new truck last November. Maybe I never noticed before- but after getting that truck it seemed like every a*hole on the highway decided to drive in front of me and toss butts out their windows like I had a bullseye painted on the hood.

At a rate of 2 billion nonbiodegradable acetate filters a day- cigaretts butts are considered to be the most littered item in America- by far.

I thought that is why I have 2 livewells- one for fish and one for trash- I have even used the one for trash for something else when I just could not make it to shore

DougMN, I'm with you 100% on the cig-buts. I despise people who can't use their ash tray. I just irrks me pulling up to a stoplight and seeing the pile of filters littering the road, ditch, sidewalk, grass, lakeshore, whatever. I've often felt like calling the police when I see someone flick them out the window but I guess I figure the police have better things to do than deal with cig-butt throwers.

If these young punks are actually leaving BEER bottles, but are still minors.........well a simple call to the cops on underage drinking might also help eh?
