lawdog
24 might even pass the old dead guy before the end of the season!!!!Oh just incase you were wondering, Jeff doesn't even turn 34 until August. By Big E's 34th birthday, he had accumulated a whopping ELEVEN victories.

eyepatrol
9 races run and 3 victories for the 24! That's 33 percent. If (and it's a big if) he can keep that pace up, he'll have 12 wins this year! Not impossible as he's one-upped that in the past, but would be very difficult to do. I can see somewhere between 6 and 8 this year.
HOF#13
"The old dead guy"??? Grow up and show some respect. That's cheap. You don't have to like Big E, but you better respect him and what he did for the sport. Talking like Jimmy Spencer isn't going to leave you with many friends here. I don't like Jeff Gordon, but had he suffered Dale Sr.'s fate, I wouldn't sit here and make disrespectful comments about him. Compare the two all you want, but there is a classy way to do it. lawdog
Don't be so offended. I like Dale plenty and definitely think he accomplished a lot. Too bad all his fans claim Gordon hasn't done anything compared to him and show him NO respect. They boo him and give him the finger whenever he goes by. Where's the class there? They don't get/deserve respect because they don't give any!!!! Dale's fans are the problem not him...
HOF#13
Well, I was offended. I do appreciate your reply and clearing up any confusion though. I am not a fan of Jeff Gordon, but do I respect everything he has accomplished? You bet. That man can drive the hell out of a racecar, and he certainly deserves to be ranked as one of the best driver's all time...Possibly the best when it's all said and done. I agree that some fans have this "blind loyalty" to their driver, and no matter what, they will show no respect to any other drivers. I don't agree with it, but that's how it is. It's not just limited to fans of Earnhardt however.
Sifty
I think that I'm one of the few who turned to Gordon after Dale Sr.'s death. They are both great drivers and both deserve alot of respect. It was a very good win on Sunday. It would have been neat if the whole field would have been there at the end but it looks as if theres a post about that already going.Sifty
lawdog
I think I'm even more rare in that I always liked both actually. My only beef with 3 was that I thought he was too aggressive with the bumper when he didn't need to be. I hate racing with guys like that and I don't like it when I see it on TV either...
