PerchJerker
Got one, had it for years, it's a good rod. Mostly use it for casting cranks or trolling cranks if I don't use a line counter reel. If the Falcon feels right to you, go with it.
Double
I have three Falcon rods and am very happy with all. Falcon seems to have found a nice niche in the market- high quality rods at reasonable prices. I recommend them!Regards,Double
JoeTC
I own two of them and they're awesome. Just like Double said, they are a high quality rod at a reasonable price. I remember when I bought one at Galyans the salesman told me that they were real similar to a st. criox but without the st. croix price.
JP Z
Falcon Rods are great. And another bonus....They are made in the USA. Great company, I know the owner and he's a great guy to shoot the breeze with.
mtwalleye
I own three Falcon rods and can't say enough good things about them. The sensativity is awsome. Great walleye rod. You can buy them localy in the Mankato area at Reel Fishing and Tackle in Madison Lake. Well worth the money.
Banger
I don't know exactly how many Falcon rods that I own, but it is alot. I would recomend them to anyone. For my opinion you can not beat the price and quality of the rods. If it feels right I would buy it.
Thomas
I use Falcon MH casting rod for bass, pike and walleyes in the weeds. Had it for years, it's been a great rod. I bought number of other rods and continue to go back to using the Falcon day in day out.
Goldenboy
Like all others above I would highly recommend the Falcon brand. I have owned/used Falcons for the past 15 years with no complaints. For the price they are extremely sensitive, very durable, and made in the USA. Falcon offers a great selection of actions/lengths that others do not. Big Ick
I checked out their HSOforum and wasn't all that impressed. First, I highly doubt they "make" their own blanks. They probably spec. their own blanks and have another company actually make the blank for them. Somebody like Shikari comes to mind. Second, I don't like the way they talk about Alconite guides. On one of the pages they claim that Alconites are stronger and lighter than SIC's. This may be true when comparing a Fuji Alconite to a Pacific Bay SIC, but is absolutely wrong when comparing a Fuji Alconite with a Fuji SIC. I think they making an apples to oranges comparison and leading you to believe it's an apples to apples comparison. When it comes to rods, find an action and strength you like. From this you'll be able to find plenty of rods to fit the bill. If you want to take it a step further, take your preferences to a custom rod builder and work with them to build you a gem. Don't buy the Falcon rod just because you don't see them in all the stores you walk into.
