Red skirts?

Has anyone really put two spinnerbaits together and seen which one catches more fish or more strikes? The plain skirts or the "bleeding" skirts. I have seen a lot about them in mags but never actually fished one versus the other.

If so, any certain colors that go well with the red. White, Chart., etc.

mike. apparently no one has tried a side by side comparison. i look at the colors of a skirt to be another option to a bait. as is different blades colors or styles. something new to try.

i have never tried a comparison either. i think that spinnerbaits are such a reaction bait that a lot of times color really isn't an issue. its being in the right place and have the correct speed and depth thats more important.

Yes, I also think it is more important to have the correct blade (Colorado, Indiana, willow-leaf) than color. Of course, this correlates to speed and depth, too.

I agree for the most part on presentation, but I also know color does matter and will get you more strikes. I have a go to color and blade that I use for certain lakes. I have tried other colors but these always out produce

I think I d go with blade difference if the color change isn't too drastic. I once went under water and had my friend cast spinners and different baits over me. It's amazing how different baits look from under water looking up.

The only diference I could notice was a major color change. Diferent blades were noticable because of the speed change. I wouldn't be able to tell if there was a little red on any spinnerHowever I am not a bass.
