Down to Earth
Doesn't affect either the Pack or Vikes, but Washington sent their 2005 3rd round pick along with thier 2006 1st and 4th round pick to Denver yesterday for the Broncos 1st round pick Saturday, which is at #25 overall.Makes me think who is pulling the strings in Washington? Doesn't seem like a smart trade at all. Most likely the first rounder next year will be a higher pick than this years #25 pick.
CNY Tim
I agree... Denver spent alot of money on a lousy Cleveland Defense they must be hurting cap wise. Washington's just plain lousy. No big wakes here either.
cybermuskie
I just read that the Vikes are think of trading up with Miami. They would have to give up their 7th and 18th and a mid round pick, so they can get Edwards. I think this would be the dumbest thing they could do. Their are so many other WR's and they don't have to give up all their draft picks to do it! I would be very ticked if they did that! Get 2 good player instead on hoping one can be Moss! They had done so good in the free agent market, why screw it up now!
james_walleye
No, Miami wants our 7th overall pick and our 2nd round pick but the vikings are only willing too give up the 7th pick and the 3rd round pick.
cybermuskie
This was straight from Yahoo sports..."A league source said Wednesday that the Miami Dolphins, who have avidly pursued trading down from the No. 2 overall pick, are on the verge of trading that choice to the Minnesota Vikings for the seventh and 18th picks, as well as another mid-round choice. Several signs point to the deal coming to fruition in the next few days."
james_walleye
Everything i've read and heard said MN wants too give up the 7th pick and their 3rd round pick. 2 first round picks seems a little steep too move up 5 spots.
full force five
Giving up 2 first round picks to get Edwards? I hope the Vikings arent' that dumb but maybe they are. If they do move up to number 2, pick Brown. The guy is a beast! I would be happy if they kept the number 7 and picked Williams or Benson.
sunnyj
I wonder if Red knows the team sale is falling apart and does not want to pay two first round picks. The cheap son of a gun
