Rapala Pro Fishing Game

Does anyone eles out there have this game? I've got it, and in my opinion, it sucks. It's tough to figure out, unrealistic (you have very little control over how fast you reel in), and the selection of lures sucks. I'd advise anyone thinking about to opt for something else.

Ya, ive played it, its nothing special, EA sports Championship Bass is a much better game, The graphics arent great, but they are ok. Lure selection is very good as is the way you fish them, You have total control over reel speed and drag settins. Also there is a bass challenge mode where you have to catch a certine amount of fish under given coditions in a time period. There is also tournament and Free fishing mode. I paid 10 bucks for it a few years ago, if you could find it it might not be a bad option to pick it up.

Course why would you wanna play a fishing game anyways? the real thing is so much better

I have the In-Fisherman Freshwater Trophies game. It's pretty good. You get to use live bait rigs.

Its not too bad, its got 2 lakes in minnesota at least and you dont have to leave the house to catch walleyes . I got to the second tournament and Im stuck, those salmon keep getting off on me.

I feel the same way. I like free fishing in Mille Lacs for muskies, where else can you catch muskies on a video game. I was really disappointed that you can fish one bay of each lake. I was actually thinking it was posible that they would have the entire lake on the game. I am also stuck on the second tournament. I can usually catch on 45lb salmon and lose the rest each time. A little frusturating to say the least. My wife said the other day "I have never heard you swear so much in my life, and your doing it at a video game"

I'll be the first one to admit, I don’t know the first thing about video games. But I am looking for a good fishing one for my son’s 13th birthday. I was going to get him the Rapala game, so I’m glad I read this topic and posts. He is a fishing junkie and like most kids his age, he likes video games too.

Should I get him the EA sports Championship Bass? Or should I get the In- Fisherman game?

I don't know if you guys are using the pc version or what, but I have it on X-Box and love it. Great way to kill fishing fever when you're waiting for the last of that ice to disappear.
