Mike Walerak
I can hear my charger kick on when I plug it in but the LED charge status lights won't light up. My batteries are not charging either. Can this be fixed or do I have to buy a new one? This is a Dual Pro charger. There was no fuses or anything that I could see when I pulled it out. Thanks,mw
0 Giant_Jackpot
If there are no fuses then the only thing to do is send it back and hope they cover you. The units are generally encased in epoxy to keep the weather out so there are no parts to service inside……………

I have a Guest three bank and it seems that if not all the cables and connections are functional, the status LEDS won't light up. Check ALL your wiring. One thing to try is to remove all other wiring from your batterys except the charger leads. Maybe some aux wires are causing a ground someplace.Worst case scenerio.... You may have to send your charger in for repair. IF repair is even possible. Most if not all on-board chargers are "sealed" units. Sealed with some type of epoxy. This may make repair impossible.Good luck, and report back with your findings...
0 marine_man
I agree with moose-hunter...Usually when these chargers do what you're describing you either have a bad connection or a defective charger. If it's a defective charger send it in.. CSI / dual pro is pretty good about warranty / replacing defective product.marine_man
0 Mike Walerak
I talked to the service guy at Dual Pro. He thought with the age of the charger that is is probably worn out. They did give $70.00 towards a new one. So I went with the new one. I was very pleased with their customer service. Too bad that was they money I was saving for some new reels.mw
0 T-ProGuy
I have the same problem with my Dual Pro 3 bank charger...it clicks when I plug it in, then two of the three light banks turn on, the third is blank. The charger is only two years old. No matter how long the charger is left plugged in, the two sets of lights always stay red and the other set stays off. If I have to send it in, don't I have to unwire everything? I am not a boat rigging expert, but have an Alumacraft Tournament Pro with the battery storage under the in floor rod lockers, and it seems like a lot of work to unhook everything. Any suggestions? 0 marine_man
Well... presuming you've determined that it's not battery related (try hooking that bank to another battery to verify that) the next best thing will be to do what you're dreading... disconnecting everything and sending it in. I believe that dual pro chargers have a 3 year warranty... so you won't be out much but a bunch of work to do the disconnects. If longer wires were spliced to the charger leads I would cut the connection there and save yourself some routing work.Good Luck.. and let us know what you find out...marine_man

0 buzzsaw
Moosehunter is probably correct as I had the same problem and fixed it by cranking down on the nuts so my connection as good. (Yeah thats a good sound bite as well)
