waskawood
I have decided to spring for a NEW Marcum VS560 camera. Has anyone heard if there are any changes in the works for next years model? When do the new models come out? Thanks....P.S. Keri, don't you dare breath a word of this to your mother!!!
Corey Bechtold
I haven't heard anything new for the 560, It is going to be hard to improve on something so perfect! Good Luck, Corey Bechtold
LocalGuide
Does anyone know the price of a VS560 with a 120' Cable? How about where I can get one? I know thats probably impossible but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Northlander
There was no 120' model this year. Maybe next year?
LocalGuide
Aww really, that stinks.. So I suppose I wont get one before June this year then huh. Darn, I guess I'll settle with the 60'.
Dave
I don't think there will be any changes to the VS560.
andy j
LocalGuide,Just curious, why do you need that much cable?
LocalGuide
Well one lake I fish (Green) the weedline is in 30' of water or so (very clear). Well I like to cover ground when I have my camera down then just throw out a marker when I see some fish. If I troll in 40' of water I need about 60' or more of cord, even with the weight added to the camera. So I have 2 options just troll slow (takes more time ) or just buy a different camera with 120' cord. I would rather stick with option 1 for many good reasons. BTW can the 560 be hooked up to a downrigger too?

Are you talking about the steering clip? I lost mine off my vs500 in the first half hour I used it. I ordered 2 more from Marcum thinking if I bought 2 I wouldnt lose it again. Well, they sent me 4 of them for the price of 2.
hanson
Lloyd-Are you referring to the little bracket on the back left side of the case that you hook the cable onto or are you talking about the downviewing bracket that attaches to the bottom of the camera housing.Probably worth a call to Marcum either way. There customer service has been pretty good. It looks like if it is the clip on the back of the case, you'll either need a new case or figure out a way to hook the new clip onto the 'rivets' that attach it to the case. lawalleye
Thanks for the reply. It was the clip that is on the case. coolbreeze... i still have the 500 also but have not used it. I'm about ready to get rid of it.Lloyd wallace
