Scenic
That was some of the best pickled fish I have had in a very long time. I am glad you brought that up with you. Like you said it sure did not last long.
ramblermotel
Mary And I would like to thank each and every one of the FishingMN crew that spent this last weekend with us at the Rambler Motel. Not only did we apprecite your patronage but also the way you treated us and our facility. Even room 2 was in pretty good shape. lol We had hoped the fishing would have been better for you all. Even though, you all should should be commended for your great spirit for the sport. As a guide myself, periodically during the summers up in Canada on the Upper Manitou, you can't imagine how appreciative it is to be aroud fishermen(and fisherladies) who realize that catching a whole bunch of fish on a trip such as this, is really a bonus and just "getting away" and having a great time is the real reason for the outing. And a great time we did have! BD's pickled northern was awesome as well as the chile. "Chef" Jeff did an outstanding job with the fish fry of course. Thanks again for your patronage FishingMN. Mary and I look forward to seeing you all again as our door is always open for each and every one of you folks at FishingMN!!! Happy Easter everyone. buzbunni
Well, I guess it's high time I chimed in. Back from the trip and it was: work/sleep/work/sleep/work/sleep...etc. up until late Friday. All I have to say is: What a Blast! I think all of the highlights have been covered, but let me echo the sentiments of all by thanking Warren and Mary for their fabulous hospitality. I am already looking forward to next year, and possibly this summer as well. As mentioned by all, the best part was the fellowship. I ain't the best angler (the fish up there obviously weren't into boosting my ego ), but I can't say that I could have had a better time. Fun, fun, fun. My highlights: Tom's pickled Northern. It just doesn't get any better than that! The entire fish-fry on Sat night. Ramblin' on late night at the Rambler in Jeff's room with Hemlock, Warren, Jeff and his son. Team BuzLogic getting stuck on Rainy, then Jeff getting stuck coming to rescue us, and then Mr. 350 diesel(BD110) yankin' us both out. Sweet! FishinLogicians Eskimo Shark. Pull, start, throttle, hole. Done! "It's moist in here". Hemlock's excitement at finding the lost perogie stash. little perch 1 screaming, "HELP! HELP! As his drag is screaming (I thought he was on fire!) We never did get to see the fish, but I'm sure it was a nice one. Thanks for the excitement lp1. Paul W searching reef "X" for that magic honey hole. The locals, great folks. Especially Jim (at our first spot on Friday), who said there weren't any fish in that area. He was right! And, as mentioned previously, The FM train, and channel 7. Thanks to Jeff Beckwith for all his help, and the many others who made it possible. It's great to put faces to names and make new friends. I look forward to seeing you all at future events. P.S. A special thanks to Northlander and BD110 for helping to get an auger extension to team BuzLogic. Thanks for bring it to the cities Tom. I hope you weren't offended when we didn't use it(it was a pretty tough fit in the car with the extension). It's kinda rough banging knuckles on the ice, but it worked. I'm sure that extension will get use soon enough. Thanks again.(I'm thinking I still owe yoos guys a fine seeegar...no?) Happy Easter!
