Eric Wettschreck
I agree with the commercials thing. I'm starting to wonder if he isn't a little gun shy also. It seems that after last years fire he just isn't the same. Maybe that's why the big crew change???? Who knows.
JohnMickish
So when he blames DEI is he taking any of the blame or passing it on? I'm not sure but I'd be willing to bet the farm that he plays more than just the drivers role in the whole picture.Roush spent a few years without being a serious contender (6 years ago) but look where they are now. The question is are the Jr. fans willing to hang around for that long or are they just on the bandwagon, waiting to jump off at the first bumps in the road? HOF#13
Quote:Remember, DEI is not some small one car team. They have three cup cars, at least two Busch cars and provide motors to a few others. I pesonally don't think they had a good enough handle on things to do such drastic changes. Their not totally lost, but getting close. I think you hit the nail on the head here. So, did lawdog. Right now, DEI is a step behind Hendrick and Rousch. Especially on the 1 1/2 mile tracks. The crew is not good enough, or proactive enough, in getting the new changes dialed in. I do think that Jr. is one of the top 5 driver's right now, but DEI is letting him down (except for the big oops at Atlanta). I do think that if Dale Sr. were here, he would not be putting up with this mediocrity right now. There would be some people at DEI in the unemployment line.
