Temp ice house?

I've heard a lot about the big deadline (news and here) but how about portable ice houses? When is the last day you can fish inside one of those? Same deadline? Or just until you can't go on the ice anymore?

It's just until you can't go onto the ice anymore. You cannot leave any house on the ice overnight anymore. If you are in it, it can be on the ice.

Sly- You can even fish out of a permanent fish house after this date. As long as you take it off at night or are inside it. As stated above, as long as you are with the house, you can use it right up till ice off. you will however need the new 2005 shelter lice effect march 1st.

So--are you saying that if I'm staying in the fish house over night that it's fine, don't have to remove it of the ice?

Here is what the regs say after the date when ice or fish houses or shelters must be removed portable shelters may be placed on the ice and used from one hour before sunrise to midnight

Be careful -- I read the regulations to say that ONLY north of the line, can you have a fish house on the ice between midnight and an hour before sunset, and ONLY if it is occupied.
