Recommended Posts

Nope, I cant recomend some good crappie spoons.. but I can recomend some GREAT crappie spoons... the 2 I have the best success with is the 1/16 oz Go Devil By Scenic Tackle.

And the Custom Jigs and spinns Demon. A little less of a spoon but still a spoon none the less.

SWEDISH PIMPLES

I use spoons 80% of the time for crappies and always go back to the small pimples. A good selection is good to have though. When I am hopping holes I usually have 2 rods set up one with a pimple and the other with a demon or small buckshot spoon. If they dont want the first color you drop the usually take the second. Color depends on the day and the lake but with a good selection you will find what they want.

Sorry not demon but go devils just like the ones Deitz has up. They have some great color to them. But some days the like the plain silver of gold over the brigh colors

That site did not give a store location so i gues it is only online orders..? Do any of our local stores carry these lures?

I've had great success with Phelps Chartreuse 1/8 oz glow spoons. I also use a glow red fatboy under a bobber, which I uusually get the bigger crappies. I use both setups at the same time when ice fishing.

Slayer- Yes tackle city is an online ordering only, however, the prices are awesome and well worth the wait of delievery! It also helps to support this FM page to keep it free for all to use!

The 1/8 oz flasher spoon that Northlander mentioned is also a great crappie jig, and also be ready for a bonus pike to hit that bait. For some reason they just love that lure!

Brian I never thought of using the slasher for panny's. Are you tipping it with waxies or what? Are you putting a smaller treble on it? [email protected]

You are correct those paint jobs are awesome. I also like the smallest Flasher spoon with a dropper on it to a ratfinky or shrimpo.

Are you coming up to Rainy? You can stay with us if you like. Its on me.

I have a couple slashers set with small trebles. Waxies or minnow head. I also set up a dropper a couple days ago just as you described, Flasher then a dropper to a Shrimpo. Caught a few with that set up and it seemed to weed out the smaller guys.

I'm a big fan of the angel eye in glow red! DYNAMITE lure for active crappies.

If you are looking for great service and a quick way to buy a product, definately don't waste time and DO BUY from the site. I bought a card of glow devil......easy as 1, 2, 3!

Can't say enough about the easy and quickness of ordering on the site!
