What do deer eat?

Of course they eat agricultural food. My question is what else do they eat and at what percent of their diet??? Both during the fall and winter months.

i've seen em crunchin on acorns before, one was a noisy little pig, downing them like they were nothin.

my wifes plants and all the seedling trees I have planted on my 11 acres. I was out the other day and noticed the tops are nipped off most of the young trees.

Walter, I grew up in Linwood, right by Stacy. When I lived there I watched them eat a lot of acorns and apples off our trees.

Down here in the prairie, in the spring they eat the tops off of the asparagus plants, and rhubarb, and pretty much anything starting to grow in the garden.

Brush buds, leaves, acorns, old apples, berries, bark, small twigs, anything a little tender this time of year. This year in just about the whole state except probably in the big woods up North, they're eating standing corn somewhere. There's still a ton around here. I saw deer in it a couple of nights ago.
