what is the proper etiquette when it comes to meeting a plow truck on the ice. I was recently in Alex when I met a plow truck plowing a second lane....there wasnt room for both of us so I had to blaze off road....and then proceeded to get stuck. frown.gif Luckily there were 2 gentleman that helped me get out. If the plow truck would of waited 1 minute I could of pulled over in less snow. Anyway, just wondering what the norm is.

i don't know what to do in that situation but i've seen some guys with plows plow out a huge area around there fishhouse and claim it as there territory with nobody allowed in even if it is in a heavily fished crappie or sunnie hole.

B. - if I saw a guy to that I would make a very concerted effort to fish as near as possible to their fishhouse. I mean, ice shavings landing on their doorstep.

As far as plows go - I have to defer to the physics on that one - plow is bigger, I move.

I always give a dude on a plow as much room as I possibly can and then give them the "Thumbs up" cuz it's just plain stinkin cool that they are out there makin a road.

As far as the guy that claims half the lake as his.....If he's staking claim on where I want to be it's too bad for him. We all have to be gentlemen out there, including him.

i agree, it would of been a ruff ride without the road so I just want to make sure its all good. Next time im face to face with a plow truck I will be off trail with da thumbs up.
