davidr
what is the proper etiquette when it comes to meeting a plow truck on the ice. I was recently in Alex when I met a plow truck plowing a second lane....there wasnt room for both of us so I had to blaze off road....and then proceeded to get stuck. Luckily there were 2 gentleman that helped me get out. If the plow truck would of waited 1 minute I could of pulled over in less snow. Anyway, just wondering what the norm is. B. Amish
i don't know what to do in that situation but i've seen some guys with plows plow out a huge area around there fishhouse and claim it as there territory with nobody allowed in even if it is in a heavily fished crappie or sunnie hole. MNice
I say, hi plow, nice to meet you I give them as much room as I can.
augernaut
B. - if I saw a guy to that I would make a very concerted effort to fish as near as possible to their fishhouse. I mean, ice shavings landing on their doorstep. As far as plows go - I have to defer to the physics on that one - plow is bigger, I move.
Eric Wettschreck
I always give a dude on a plow as much room as I possibly can and then give them the "Thumbs up" cuz it's just plain stinkin cool that they are out there makin a road.As far as the guy that claims half the lake as his.....If he's staking claim on where I want to be it's too bad for him. We all have to be gentlemen out there, including him.
Sonicrunch
According to the rule book you cannot set up any closer that 10 feet to another fish house... Nice of him to make room for me huh?
davidr
i agree, it would of been a ruff ride without the road so I just want to make sure its all good. Next time im face to face with a plow truck I will be off trail with da thumbs up.
