was up at Red this past weekend, first time on the lake. Was looking forward to catching some of those famous red lake crappies. well we did get one. But the biggest catch was a 16lb gator. People look at you funny when you are crappie fishing and you ask them if they have a gaff. last time I leave my home

Maybe he did keep it. I think you may be able to keep Northerns on Red Lake just not walleyes.

Hey, he could of mounted the fish. If it was over 40" I would of thought about it.

Actually you can keep PIKE on Upper Red Lake, it is the walleyes that are off limits until the opener of 06'.
