What’s your favorite outdoor publication?

Mine is Outdoor News and Bass Master Magazine

So many of the hunting/fishing magazines are primarily focused on bashing environmentalists, getting republicans elected, and hocking junk that I pretty much quit reading them except for in waiting rooms. In-Fisherman pretty much sticks to fishing, so I don't mind that one so much.

i also get the outdoor news and bast master, and the bass and walleye boat mag.

I just love to read stuff and soak up as much information as I can.

The current mag subscriptions are Outdoor News, In-Fisherman, Walleye Insider, Muskie Hunter, Esox Angler, Crappie, Outdoor Life, Field & Stream and thats about it.

I tend to like the hardwater alot and it is hard to find good reads on ice fishing. The In-Fisherman crew does a nice job but they really should publish a couple Ice Fishing specials a year rather than the one.

If I had to whittle the list down- Outdoor News & In-Fisherman.

outdoor news is about the only thing I read now. also get bass and walleye boats mag.

Bugle - put out by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is an excellent publication. There are lots of articles about elk, of course, but some about fly fishing in elk country on occasion. Not your typical hunting rag by any means. The articles are very well written, and not the typical "how to" stuff that is rehashed in a lot of magazines. The photography is some of the best I have seen. Lots of information on habitat conservation, and how it goes hand in hand with helping fish, ducks, etc.

I like Outdoor Life pretty much cuz I love reading Pat Mcmannus's stuff.

Read some of his stuff and you won't feel so bad about yourself.

I almost get one magazine a day, much to the dismay of my wife! My favorites are the Wildfowl Magazine, Esox Angler, Outdoor News, Ducks Unlimited, Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, and Midwest Outdoors. A person needs something to get them through the winter!
