Zimm
Just wondering if anyone can tell me how much gas a pilot light uses off a 100# cylinder each day. Is there some place I can find information of how much gas heaters use? Thanks in advance. Zimm
0 Gissert
If it is just a pilot light, very very little gas is used.I used to have an 8 x 12 perm shack with one of those large Pearson anvil stoves. I would let than thing run on a low setting for weekes on end. While it did not have a pilot light, I'd leave the whole burner running on low, plus higher settings when I fished. I would get five weeks out of a 100 pounder. If you are just running a pilot, that should last even longer.
0 danny berg
Gissert,Don't you just love those Pearson Heaters, I have one in my 8 x 12 and a 20 lb'r goes a long way. I sometimes go out to the house during lunch break on Friday and open up the holes and start the heater, then leave it on all weekend long, and still have propane left in the tank... 0 danny berg
I don't know if they still being made or not, I'v done a internet search for them and nothing has popped up. I do see them at auctions and garage sales from time to time. I just started to look for a new house for next season and my heater is going with me.
