I've been using the vexilar one for a few weeks and like it.

I have the LXi performance pack and have used it twice and it's a sweet compact unit with battery and case.

I also have the LX-i and love it. The thing that I like about it compared to some of the others is the location of the read-out. Its on top of the unit...some other brands have it on the side near the bottom. Being that the LX-i's read out is on top, its easier to read...dont have to bend over sideways. Just my 2 cents.

Yep, the vexilar reads on the side, would be nicer if it was on the top.

hey i was just wondering how much the lxi costs im a begginer and i've only been out a couple times and got skunked each time i'de like an inexpensive sonar device to see where the fish are thanks

The LXi works great, and easily pays for itself in the time it saves you on the ice. This is the first year I have had one and so far it shoots clean threw 16+ inches of ice with no problems.

I bought a polar vision this year, used it 10 to 15 times so far and love it, Shot threw 15 inches of ice and worked great, I found that if you keep the battery pack warm It works even better and reads quicker than if its been out in cold for a few hours.
