Cordless drill adapters? Any opinions?

Has anyone used the cordless drill adapters that you use to attach 6" augers? Do they work well? Any opinions? There are a number of them for sale on HSOList. They look interesting but I wonder if they really work.

I have never used one, but they do seem like they would work. As long as the blades are sharp and the batteries in your cordless are warm. Seems there is an issue when the cordless is cold. Also I think you need a 18 volt drill or better.

I worked installing office furniture and found that the screw that holds the chuck in place breaks(broke mine 4-5 times) easy I have a 12volt ridgid that has as much power as some 18v the battery dies kinda quick but it comes with 2 batt. and a 15min charger thats my opinion hope it help

the 18v rigids are good to but heavy they sell them at home depot

I've got one. Works great as long as you have a good battery in your drill. I have a spare battery to go along with my drill/auger. Only problem I've been having is that after 6 holes, my battery can't drill another hole. I don't know if there's a problem with the batteries or what. I'm going to try getting a corded drill, power inverter, and a plug it into the truck. That'll keep it drilling away. Hehe.
