Every year I have this same problem. I clean the carbs on my 2000 MXZ 600 and I have a hell of a time getting the airbox back on the carbs. There is not enough room to get your hands in between to push them on. Has anyone experienced this or have any solutions?

someone once told me a squirt of wd 40 in the boots helps slip them on. Have not tried it nor am I sure if it is a good idea (would wd eat the rubber?)

On my AC you can access the inside of the box (top comes off)and get your hand/fingers inside the boot to help get it around the carb, not sure if your able to do this on yer doo but it sure makes it easy for me. I use a bit of 2cycle oil for lube.

If the rubber is cold when you are doing this try heating them up with a hair dryer or heat gun.
