jerkin'm
Does anyone know anything about these? I have a couple and heard rumors that the company is somewhat back in business. Great old augers and would like to piece them back together.
Deitz Dittrich
5{u said. The son (Doug Kluge) is still fixing them. And has all the stuff I'm sure you would be able to talk to him and get any information you would want. My father has one, and I tell you what... its scary how cool that machine is. iffwalleyes
My pops has one. It is old. It has a cliton small engine on it. A couple years ago I was having problems with it. I worked for a small engine store at the time and I brought it to the mechanics and they said that cliton hadn't been around since 1965 or so. I suppose that was about the time my dad bought it. I think the coolest thing on it is that they have the cluch handle and the throttle handle so you can slow or speed up the auger engine and engauge the clutch at slow speeds or high speeds. One thing about them they like to smoke and they are loud. Great old auger though. I still think I like my Jiffies better though.

chunkytrout
Scott comes up here in the winter to fish trout opener. He brought up a couple of old timer rigs. Scary machinery at best and way cool old school augers. He brought up their 4 stroke machine last time. Wacky machine!!!! Gotta love it.
Mopad
My father has one of these rigs. Actually it was passed down to him from his father. At the time I guess they were the cadilac of the augers. I sure love the [commercial-or-naughty-word] thing. Its a brute. Heavy, LOUD, and smokey. It still runs and everytime we take it out on the lake it turns heads. Like the post above says you have gas throttle and a clutch. Rev it up in the fish house untill you can't hear yourself and engage the blade and watch the ice fly. If anyone does know where to get parts for this bad boy, my dads sure could use a new recoil.
