swivels

Can anyone tell me, is it a good idea to ,use a swivel tied to your lure, when vertical jigging , to keep lure from twisting or spinning,or doesnt it really matter?

If your fishing over any current It might not be a bad idea but otherwise its another pair of knots to fail in my opinion

Im assuming you mean snap swivel directly to your lure? If so dont do it. Put a barrel swivel up your line a couple feet and that will reduce any line twist. Remember you get what ya pay for with swivels.
