I used the 3# cylinder all winter and only fill it up a couple of times. I use it with a mr. heater screwed onto the top. It is the perfect size to put into a 5 gallon pail for traveling.

I save all my name-brand 1# bottles for refilling.If I have any off-brand or picked up bottles, I dispose of them. I have a one handed venting tool made by Ruger Arms that uses .22 cal shells. My sons volunteer to vent them and they don't even charge me as long as I supply the ammo. Such good kids. After venting, I throw them in the scrap metal trailer at work.

does any one know why they make stuff to refile the 1# bottles but on the side it says it is illegal to refill them. it is a $500,000 fine. but yet they still sell stuff to do it.
