icepike the LX-3 comes with about a 70% charge, to check it you hook up the positive and negetive terminals and it will display the charge on the LCD screen. When you charge it you just leave everythign hooked up and plug the walljack into the charger screen, you dont have to worry about when to take it off because the charger will stop when the battery is full.

Plug your charger in to get the true reading. What the digital screen reads while its not charging isnt always acurate. May be more may be less. Make sure you charge after every use. This will make your battery last longer and hold a better charge. Thats unless your only out for a couple hours but who does that. grin.gif

I just checked mine and it said 90% but when I went and plugged in the charger it said 50%.

Besides this little quirk I love that LX-3. The zoom feature gets used every time out especially for Crappie and Lakers but also for those bottom hugging eyes. Im sure you will enjoy yours too.

FYI, it only seems to be charging when the %is blinking, other wise it's in storage mode, One big thing I really love about my LX3 is the charger, plug it and leave it, you don't have to worry about cooking batteries like other chargers. In fact I bought a marcum charger for my aqua view for the same reason. Now they are always fully charged and never overcharged. grin.gif

I seem to have a problem with my digital charger. any time it is not 100% charged, it displays two different charge percentages and flashes between them. It is really confusing, and to make matters worth, I emailed the tech service last year and they didn't have a response. don't get me wrong, I love my unit and wouldn't give it up for anything. it does seem to hold a charge and charge correctly. It just bothers me that it does this. Has anyone else had this problem?
