irvingdog
If riders keep doing to state land what they've done to Nemadji, then this is all you can expect.
Jmnhunter
i agree with tighter restrictons on state forests, not banning them though-Good Hunting/Fishing
Eiger0304
What happened up at Nemadji? Been there a few times. I haven't seen any problems. Just curious.
irvingdog
I guess it requires a "before and after" to appreciate the damage quads have done to Nemadji. To many swampers tearing up the place. No, I'm not anti access or anti quads........

metrojoe
I spent a couple bear hunting seasons in Nemadji and it’s a shame what’s happening in that forest. I parked on the side of the road for about 10 minutes and watched one of the trails marked “No Motorized Vehicles” and I counted 4 ATVs come down that trail. All the regulations in the world don’t mean squat if there isn’t anyone there to enforce them. So many trails have been cut through that forest that I’m sure it gets confusing as to which is open and which is closed. I’d really hate to see all our public land go the route Nemadji has. On the other hand I’ve seen a lot of responsible riding and I’ve talked with a number of riders who were up there with their OHV club doing trail repair and maintenance. In fact they seem to be the only riders that ever stop to chat. From my experience, the clubs are really trying to promote responsible riding. Most OHV riders aren’t going to be satisfied with riding down a groomed trail all the time. The vehicles were designed to be taken off road and I believe the riders should have a place to ride that offers an off road experience. I just don’t think it should be allowed “willy nilly” through our public lands.
