Eyemaster,

At that time your best bet will probally be to start hitting the reef's for the eyes. They should be there by then and will take almost anything. 15-18 foot will probally be about your best bet! Usually a plain leadhead and jig stright up and down.

that does not sound good! What were they hitting on in sunset chanel, and how deep. I know the wind can be tough up there, and have been told that the weather has been cold and rainy by the owner of floating lodges, so we are figuring that it could be miserable conditions.....have the eyes spawned yet? what was the water temp?

We were fishing 10-12' and were using Lindy Rigs with a leech for most of our fish however I Also had good luck usiing a green jig tip with a leech. All that we could catch with crawlers were smaller walleye. Good Luck

Not a problem, This will be the 3rd houseboat trip that I have done to Sioux Narrows, always used floating lodges houseboats and have had good luck. My family has been going up there for about 6 or 7 years. Their are two groups that go and they usually book the boat for the next year when they get off. Needless to say they have been very impressed with the fishing and the Service given by floating lodges. I personally think the houseboat is the way to go verses a cabin, unless you want to do a fly in. I have done one of those and will do one again.

Was up a bit north of sioux narrows yesterday and had pretty good luck. somewhere around 40 fish in 4 -5 hours. Weather got bad so I didnt get tio fish much in the afternoon, but the fish were definitely active during the nicer weather in the a.m.

You were interested in some feedback, We did great caught alot of fish in the shallows using shad raps. We were catching 40-50 fish to a boat in approx 4 hours. caught a few Big fish in the group 1 muskie and had a blast. Floating lodges was very impressive, we had engine problems and they had no problem having thier mechanic fix the problem, at a VERY reasonable price! We also hit a rock with one of our boats and they called around, found one, had it shipped in and brought it out to our boat. The service is GREAT!!
