benelli_dude2002
Hey fellow outdoor persons just in case you all wanted to know the thickness of the ice or the ice conditions around the Morson area. Well I just talked to my dad ( who lives up there ) and he says there is about 8 inches and they have been going just about everywhere on snowmobile. Not much for snow on the ice but enough to keep your sleds cooled and hifax lubricated so a studded track helps. He and other hunters thats right they are still hunting up there and the rifle season is open til the 15th of this month. They have been around checking things out and they actually came across 4 wolf kills which were all decent size bucks from what remaains they did find. No one isn't fishing up there yet as far as I know but once the word does get out i'm sure it'll spread like wildfire once the crappies start biting again at Hay Island. Just thought I'd let you know abou the ice. Its safe to say winter is here to stay. Good luck to all this winter! Brian
