Ice Out

Just wanted to start this thread as the "official" ice out page on this forum. Please feel free to post any ice out reports you may have for your area. I'm ready to put the boat in the water, can you tell?

Hemlock, the ice is out down here in Nevada. People around the area are getting excited about the open water!!

Any info about the ice out status of Lac La Croix?

Was in Kenora all weekend and the 4 wheelers were having a hay day! Spoke with one and he said there was plenty (2 feet +) of good ice. Fishing was good, mostly smaller, a couple over 18". Plenty of open water near current areas, but that's no surprise. Still might be a while up there if the water is sitting still.

Any ice out reports from LOTW? Anywhere up north?

I'm going to go with May 8th as complete ice out for LOTW.

Well, the ice is all but gone for Ontario Lake of the Woods. Talked to my buddy "JZ" last night and he made it out to Oak Island yesterday, while still dodging some bigger ice flows. It sounds like Whitefish Bay is all but gone too. One to two more days for the last of the big flow to break up.
