Bear pics...

Hopefully this works. It's a pic of my 'No Quota' bow kill bear in 95'. He went 424lb dressed. Notice the size of his head compared to mine where I'm giving him a 'bear hug'. Also notice in the pic back at camp with the tractor lifting him, his feet are on the ground and I'm standing next to him. In both pic's I'm not sitting waaaay back to make the bear look bigger, he's just huge. Also, I'm 6'2" if that helps you judge the size of the bear. It's my first and only bear so far, however I've spent 19 nights total on three different hunts and only saw bears that one night.

The last pic is some poloroids from yesterday.

Left: A bear finally found the bait. There had to be 175-200lb of meat, bread, fruit/veggies, grain, etc. when he found it and there's about 140lb left. I just added about 10lb of fresh (frozen) meat and covered it up again. Hopefully it will be all eaten by Sun when I check again.

Right: About 125lb of bait added on Sat and this is what was left yesterday. The bait crib was completely disassembled and there was about 10lb of food (mostly the apples) left. I re-assembled the crib and re-baited with 75lb or so of food. I also set out a trail camera so hopefully it works but it was the cheapest model they had so who knows.

Now I am pumped up to bait again this weekend, then hunt next wednesday. Only 6 days left. Aaahhh...

That bear is awesome! I am not good at judging the size of big bears yet, but I had a bear that never came into bow range last year that was around that same size, but I never would have guessed it would have weighed that much. The same bait is getting pounded again this year and there are some BIG tracks. Now I'm even more excited knowing how big the bear might be.

Very nice bear!! Anyone else got some pics they want to post? A good way for you, that are lucky enough, to go, to get pumped!! I might have to post my bear from last year, I still get excited every time I see the photos.

I couldn't help noticing you have several plastic buckets at your baits. I am assuming (and hoping) you haven't been leaving them there when away from your bait site, as it against Mn law.

Curly, that's good to hear. Too many "amateaurs" are ruining it for the rest of us bear hunters-causing the legislators to write MORE useless laws.
