No more Evinrude

I have an Evinrude E tech that’s a great runner but I went to pick up some Carbon guard and had a chance to talk to my mechanic and he said I might want to look at a different motor at some point as parts will be harder to find.

Any other Etech owners here? This isn’t good news

Evinrude E tech parts will still be supported for some time according to the article I read in last weeks Outdoor News.  Can’t remember how many years but I’m sure it’s at least 10.

I started liking them just this summer.  Doesn’t matter I guess though since like so many others I didn’t buy one.

I wouldn't necessarily count on it, but aftermarket parts are easy to come by on 40 year old evinrudes.

So what you guys are saying I shouldn’t worry about it at least for the next several years?

Don't worry be happy.   At least until something happens and you can't get the part to fix it which could be a long time.
