fishkid
Started the boating season off with something new this year. Decided to try out luck at shrimping out of whittier before we bring the boat down to homer for the summer. Let the pots soak for 4 hours and came back to pull them and our first pot came up fine but our last 2 were stuck on rocks/coral and after fighting them for a hour or so the bridles broke and we lost the pots. Was too bad since we had a gallon of shrimp in one pot. If we would have got them all we probably would have ended up with 3 gallons or so. O well bought a few more pots and hopefully getting out again on thursday . smalliehunter, Wanderer and ozzie 2
fishkid
got back out and had an awesome day on the water. Dropped the pots and headed to a cove to go hang out on the beach and paddle board around. Pulled our pots after 5 hours and ended up with 4 gallons of whole shrimp. Thats about it for us i whittier until August, pulling the boat to homer to fish for halibut and rock fish this weekend. ozzie and smalliehunter 1
