Wisconsin High School Ice Fishing

This last weekend I had the opportunity to be a volunteer mentor for the Grantsburg Hish School Ice Fishing Team. It was a great experience to share the ice with young men that reminded me of the days when I was there age. They we're all class acts and practiced great ethical ice fishing. The tournament took place on Lake Superior out of Ashland on C bay. Had a blast, here are some pics..

Man I wish my high school would have supported an ice fishing team. I wouldn't have had nearly as much detention for skipping my morning classes as a result of a hot walleye bite!

Andover High, senior year, both of my sons took the Outdoor Adventure class. BWCA winter camping trip, bow and arrow certification, trap shooting, ice fishing and a lot of outdoor survival/team skills taught. They both loved the class!

Blaine high school got this class only for seniors it outdoor adventure. They probably love go icefishing with that guy service.
