Fishin4fun_MN
I was to the St. Paul Ice Show and received a nice Clam Bait Puck. Is clam selling these or was this a one time thing? I am interested in a couple more (2-3).

Munger1
I did not make it to the show at all Does anyone have an extra Clam bait puck by chance?
Thunderfoot
I've seen them at Cabelas. Not sure what brand or anything like that but they have bait pucks
lakeshoremunster
FF has them for sale also, many different colors and sizes. They also have a double capped puck with a screen in the middle so you dont have to deal with the wood chips from your waxies.
aaron otto
The two guys who emailed me- pucks were dropped at the P/O tonight on the way home from work.
bobbymalone
is there a difference between the clam pucks and the other ones? They looked the same to me. I see the red and yellow ones at most stores.
Fishin4fun_MN
Probably not, but I like the blue Clam ones...I think they might be a little smaller than the red and or yellow strike master ones.
Brad B
Probably not, but I like the blue Clam ones...I think they might be a little smaller than the red and or yellow strike master ones. they are actually the same size. I just got done filling 3 of the clams and 2 of the strikemasters with a new supply of wax worms. stacked them all on top of each other and they were the same size. I have reason to believe that the clams come from the same factory that makes the strike master ones and are just changed to the blue color. kerryd15
would these work for holding gulp alive? or are they not "that" waterproof?
Stobber
I would think it would work fine for gulp...mine never leak a drop.
hydro
Not sure how you guys have bait pucks that do not leak. Every one that I have had seen or in my pocket has leaked, and they leak from two different points. First, there is a pinhole molded into the cap (hold it up to the light to see) and I have tried sealing that, but they still leak. The second leak is around the cap/base where there is a small ridge that if it is damaged allows leakage. Has anyone figured out a way to get around both of these leak points? Maybe an o-ring somehow?
Jim Kusuda
The new blue Clam Bait Pucks were a gift at checkout for the first 150 fishing customers at Gander Mountain on Sat and Sun. I think that they are intended for waxworms and spikes and are vented for that purpose. In the past, I have put a half dozen fathead minnows in one, with about a teaspoon of water, to walk around with while I was walleye jigging. I was always amazed at how they would stay alive for such a long time (several hours). Sure, my outer pocket may have gotten a little wet, but that's fishin! Anthony Anania
then my gander screwed up because they had them set up on a table in the fishing department along with ice team envelopes with everything excepts a perks card in it
Jim Kusuda
Correct, the Ice Team welcoming kits came with the perks card when the membership was $10. I used mine on Sat. at Gander to buy a 9.99 can of Reel Magic, received .50 off. Not much, almost covers the tax, but on a costly item it would be worth having. I see it is available for $5 online.
