12 V lighting for your portable

I hear people ripping on rope lights all of the time, but I have had zero issues with them. I have about 4 sets of Clam rope lights and love them to death. Not over-powering, perfect amount of light to feel the romance between you and your Vexilar... wink They are semi-pliable even in the harshest conditions. Teamed with a battery pack and battery bracket inside the tub. Good. To. Go.

I will post couple more pictures here shortly but here is what I have right now.

These are the clam LED lights bought them when Clam had clearance on them $5 package and they are very bright.

Will be adding this Dimmer to both sets.

I will post maybe this evening on final light project.

I have a simular settup in my house as you do Conduct with Frirebrite lights. I have mine set up with a vex battery secured in the console with a switch for instant light when I want it. I like the dimmer idea though.

I have the same set up as Borch. I have a toggle switch for the front or back lights and I also have 1 string of the 12v for a back up incase my battery were to go dead.

Mine are the Firebright led lights sold in the OutdoorProstore right here on HSO.

I would go again with this setup in a heartbeat as they are great.

I like the idea of the dimmer switch. I have like 3 strings in my portable and each one runs of a toggle switch hooked to the Sportsmen caddy from Otter Outdoors. My battery is attached right in the bottom of the caddy.

Probabaly overkill on the string lights but if I want daylight, I hit a toggle and it's there.

These strings have been in the portable for going on 4 years without 1 issue. I have them zip tied to the pole above and the wires run through the poles.
