honker23
I have been out to waubay in the past for the perch/walleyes/pike/crappies. I was wondering if anyone has an opinion where the best chance of catching some trophy size walleyes this spring, the reports I've heard sounds like waubay is graet for the 15 3/4 inch fish, we caught larger ones last year, are they still there? Thanks in advance
ifishsd
Reetz lake south of Webster about 5 miles. Has a slot of one walleye and it has to be 28 inches. I have heard of several walleyes that were just short of 28 inches caught there last year.
Guest
The ice is off of Reetz and Swan Lakes, the ramps and docks are not in yet, but I'm sure you can get a boat in with a 4x4. haven't heard anything on the other lakes yet..
Guest
Honker,Waubay has plenty of 20-26" Walleyes, but I have yet to see or hear of one larger. Enemy Swim has some nice Hogs and Pickeral has a few too. I'd say your best place to really score on some big Walleyes is in Traverse on the border...------------------Chells
Capt'nJosh
I'd agree with Chell. If you are looking for hog walleyes either Traverse or Big Stone are your best bet in that area.Capt'n
