Benny
We are going back to Ortonvill this weekend for the Pheasant opener. The lady at the house we rent out said she saw a field over by Milbank SD that had 5 or 6 roosters running around a whole bunch of hens .She know the land owner and is sure we can hunt it if we ask, but we can take three per day over there but only two roosters here in Minnesota. Now if we each buy a lisence from SD and Minn. can we take 5 birds per day with three from SD and 2 from Minn??Or would the DNR look at it as if we took all 5 here in Minnesota and tag us for them?I tried to ge through to the DNR but no one ever answers the phones there and my local CO was out on an investagation today. Thanks, Benny
Jmnhunter
Hey, Good Q, My guess is that you would be alright, since the possesion limit is 6 for MN. And with the SD license, you prob. wouldn't have to worry, but I would check with dnr to be safe.-Good Luck
ATM
I hunt the milbank and ortonville area often. as long as you have both licences you can take your 2 in minnesota and 3 over in SD. Adam
Powerstroke
ATM is correct. As long as you have both licenses you are fine. A good example is for people who fish in Canada and then come and fish in MN waters.Have both in possession and you will be good.
