metro Doves?

i was wondering if anybody knows of any good spots were to dove hunt in the metro or around it.thnx for any info possible

You might have to get out of the metro a ways, I was out last weekend in a field goose hunting and noticed a bunch at the end of the field where the beans ended along side of a cut hayfield that wound down into a creek area with a grove of trees, also there was a pile of gravel and dirt since a new tile had just been put in. There were doves everywhere, I had only a pocket full of #6 steel. I only hit 2 out of 10 shots, I wish I could have stayed out there, shooting #8 shot would have been much more productive. They were pretty tasty after I fried them up.
