delcecchi
Any suggestions as to how to trap a nuisance muskrat or two that are digging burrows into the bank at the lake shore and back under the lawn? I have a body grip trap or two.... Would it work to use some sticks to make sort of funnel and put the trap at the enterence to the burrow? Bait? live trap? It is in the city, so shooting it is out. Snail lake in shoreview if it matters.... No, not my house. Edited June 24, 2016 by delcecchi
Moon Lake Refuge
Main thing is check the trap frequently in the cities. I know a guy who put a small trap out for rats and after he got one he didn't check it quick enough and a coyote ran off with his rat, trap dragging behind all through the neighborhood monstermoose78
Neighbor_guy
I find this to be the most effective treatment for rats that are tunneling under the bank. I have two areas that are bad here. One about 10' in from the water and the other about 7' in. I fell through the larger tunnel (visable to the left of the shell as the valley in the grass) while mowing the lawn and decided it was time to stop being the friendly neighbor. A couple of evenings of paying attention to the local traffic and I managed to catch the culprit. 3000fps was a little to fast for him to out run. I don't live in the city though, so a little different set of rules. I would figure a pan trap placed at the mouth of the tunnel should do the trick in your case. Or a have a heart trap placed in the run would work too. monstermoose78
