roony
I am not a cheese in my sausage kind of guy but it seems to be kind of trendy the last few years. What you and yours like is what matters. reinhard1, Dotch and Boar

I'm with the wife when I think of it. Cheese and maple doesn't sound right but good work on the melding word usage. You can put it in half of the sausage mix and have something to argue about for the next month or so. Since you've solved the dog leash issue in the truck you're probably in need of a discussion item. reinhard1, Boar and smurfy

smurfy
It's your sausage but like roony said I am not a cheese in the meat person. LL does have a valid argument. reinhard1
reinhard1
All about personal preference. For 10 pounds add 1 pound of cheese. Don't have to alter the seasonings. Like Kris said, after you grind and mix the sausage seasonings divide the batch in half and go half a pound of cheese in one of the 5 pound batches. Boar didn't you buy this seasoning from Mossy? I would PM him and ask him about measurements if you want to break the seasoning packs down to a smaller amounts. I know Curley's has the breakdown on all of their seasonings that are shipped to you. Not all seasonings have the same amounts per 5 pounds. That is how Curley's break down their seasonings. For example in their formed bacon seasoning is 6 T per 5 pounds but their breakfast is different. Cant remember that one since mine is on order and I don't have one to compare to. good luck. lovebigbluegills
You could always just add cheese to a pound or two of meat if you wanted. That way you'd know for next time!!!

That's one of the great things about smoking and sausage making. You can almost always eat the stuff you screwed up!!!! And it's still better than most of the stuff you get in stores!!!
