mrklean
What kind of camera have you been using on your hunts to take pictures?
Scoot
I use a Panasonic FZ series camera. I believe I have the FZ70 now. They come out with a new one every year and I don't bother keeping up. I recommended one to a friend about five years ago and she still loves her "old" camera. These cameras have some pros and cons- they're pretty big and bulky for a backpack hunt, but they're a whole lot smaller and lighter than a DSLR with multiple lenses. However, a good point and shoot would be nice sometimes just for the weight/space savings. However, you'll miss the zoom with one for sure. Also, the bridge cameras, like the FZ70, have an electronic shutter- that means they don't make the really loud "click" when you take a pic. For pictures inside of 40 yards when there's little wind- a DSLR is the equivalent of a banging on a gong! I've been really happy with my two different Panasonic FZ bridge cameras. mrklean
mrklean
What kind of zoom is on those?
DonBo
I have a similar camera, it has a 12X zoom.
Scoot
I don't remember what the FZ70 has for a zoom, but I believe it's much higher than DonBo's camera. They seem to go up in zoom ability with each version and I was thinking 12X was many, many versions ago.
SmellEsox
60X stabilized optical zoom. Whatever that means. LOL.
