Good Morning!

Ah, nice to know mine is not the only life in turmoil these days. Think it's now 36 - 14 but who's counting anymore? About 5 more ewes to come in but we should be through with the unplanned pregnancy portion of our show. After stamping out brush fires and battling to a standoff on the bill at the grocery store, I decided it was time to feed the bottle lambs and check on our next contestant at the ranch. Go home, change clothes and get the bottles ready. The bottle lambs are a piece of cake basically and they don't waste time, sorta like me when I decide it's time for a libation. Got that done and sure enough the ewe had lambed while I was in town. She was about like most of the yearlings that lamb, dumber than a box of rocks and ornery about going where she should. Luckily I have been eating Auntie Mar Mar's aronia bars the past several days and as a result now possess superhuman strength and endurance. I persevered and within 10 minutes or so I had her penned in a newly constructed pen where it was warmer. Stripped her out to make sure her bag was open for business so left her and the newborn buck lamb to figure it out. Hopefully the cat will eat the afterbirth and barf it up so the dogs can recycle it then barf it up in the house later. By that time it was 2 p.m. I was famished. Ah, there should be leftover weenies, right? But nooooooo! Mrs. Cheviot had absconded with the entire bag of leftover kraut and weenies and taken them with her to work. I was not a happy camper. What is with these women LL I tell ya! Had to improvise. Egg rolls, cottage cheese, potato salad and the now famous Mar Mar's aronia berry bars.

Say can I have some of your purple berries? ;)

Good morning all, or afternoon. I'm not sure what is worse LL, the dogs pretty much giving us the finger then eating what they are not supposed to, or when a crow with road kill sits in the tree dropping parts of the varmint and the dogs loving it so much decides I need to roll on this.

Great looking lunch dotch,  sometimes mine is just nachos,  with all the times of evading Mrs Cheviot might have caught up with ya, her running off with all the weenies might be a sign.:P

Speaking of the Mrs,  mine scored 3 games for the wild. Went last Saturday and had a blast. A couple in the next section was on the kiss cam, I told her to get ready Cuz if they pan our way your gonna get more than that .;) doing your basic brats and chips-n- dips tonight, best get at it..

I would have been peed off if my wife let the dog stay out or if she gave the weenies and kraut away.  GGGRRR!!  Well mine made me some nice oatmeal this morning and she didn't blacken it neither thank goodness.  AND LL I didn't need to know that about ol Abe.   I will think of that whenever I hear him mentioned.  Now I am going to tell the guys at work so I am not the only one with a tarnished image of the tall man with the beard with some other guys or guys.  Was it a threesome?  :(  HOLD IT, I don't want to know.  And no "hold it" wasn't what I wanted to say neither.  Man LL, you have my day off to a weird start.   See ya all later......   :mad:

Great album Dotch.  One of my old faves...

Good morning...a man can only be pushed so far and I have been.  No little 2 foot 6 inch woman is going to walk around my house constantly yapping bad ideas and what she wants to do.  "blah blah blah blah."

Have a good day fellas :) It's Good Friday.

you guys are lucky I just deleted all the drivel that I typed.

Good Friday is a weird day.  Kind of supposed to mourn Jesus' death but since ya know he rose again it's hard to walk around all blue or anything.  Since you gotta eat fish today they should open up walleye fishing for the day.  I may sue the DNR for the right to fish for walleyes the 40 days before Easter.  Religious freedom thing.

Good morning! Sun is shining at least for a few hours. Chores done, breakfast gobbled, back to work. Truly a good Friday: The office pest is in SD for the weekend! :D

Odd  people these females. Just as suddenly as I was only slightly less popular than Osama Bin Laden, Mrs. Cheviot's back to all peaches and cream again. I think she must've realized that resistance was futile and is chasing me around the house. Must've been all those excellent weenies she ran off with. She even said that the gals at work she shared them with were impressed. Hmmmmm...thinking the old "Gee I wish my hubby would grill stuff for me" line might've come into play. Speaking of that, trying to decide what to grill for Easter. May need to go to to Fareway for some beef. That NY strip I had a few weeks back is still on my mind, sorta like some of my old conquests. Or I could do shish kabob's that my Brazilian female acquaintance still talks about. :D Decisions, decisions...;)

Here ya go boar.

Good morning....Foggy, misty, drizzly here and 38*. Lots of the snow has already melted from the krap storm the other day. Took the little blower out and blew the 10" off the deck yday. Dried out in the sun. Strange to have it buried one day, dry and no snow the next. Gonna lay low and take it easy this weekend, the back and legs are paying for all the snow blowing. The Docs are pushing big time for that spinal implant stimulator gizmo. Just the thought of having wires running thru me and an oreo-sized controller implanted in my belly makes me feel queasy. But, I have an appt in a week or so to start the process of figuring out where, when, and how. With my luck, I'll get one of the defective Taiwan models that'll make me jerk around like a bad guy on the end of a taser doing the friggin' boogaloo.  Time to scrounge something up for breakfast, and figure out something for supper tonite and tomorrow. Enjoy yer weekend.....

Reb-I need some more of that Reb Positiveness out of you.  They are going to hook that thing up and make you feel better, just don't confuse the oreos and you'll be all good.  After it works on your spine you can expand it to stimulate all sorts of things!  Maybe even run a wire to the neighbors house?

What a day.  I was going to go he11 bent on trimming bushes and perennials that didn't get chopped last Fall and then the rain came.  I may do it anyway to harken back to my landscaping days.  We've got two apple trees that Dotch keeps reminding me of.  They look like the one trim prune would be the best option but before I do that I will just start cutting stuff.  It sucks because when you're in there you feel like your in the jungles of 'Nam it's so thick.

I also had a huge boulder slide off the retaining wall and it ended up ten yards down the hill.  That may require my landscape buddy to get his arse over here and repay some of those fishing trips we've gone on.   When I ponder trying to move just one it makes sense now how expensive walls are.

I'm watching a kid today for a friend.  Wish he was about 2 but he's nine so I will try a practice "Grandpa" day today.  I've got a shed hot spot in town and may take him to find his first shed antler.  I like guiding people to stuff but would never want to do it as a vocation.  Easter bonnets on the cute little girls and a few moms tomorrow in church, great day!

Good morning Reb!! Good morning all!!! Blue sky and 20 here this morning. Songbirds singing, honkers honking, and cranes making their cooing noise. The coffee is tasting great, and I need to make breakfast pretty soon too. I picked the eggs, just need to wait on the Canadian bacon to thaw.
