Juneau4
Does anyone use or have a Holland grill, if so I'd like the Pro's and Con's in using one. Have to justify the cost.
ThunderLund78
My parents had one for a while. It works good for smoking or slow cooking but definitely keep your Weber or standard gas grill for normal grilling. You can do burger or steaks on a Holland but it takes longer and you can't really sear anything. It just doesn't throw out good direct heat - not made for it. bobberineyes
Inquiring minds needed to know, so I looked em up. All I see is gas, if a gas grill doesn't throw heat then what good is it. Real pricey, but then again they offer a searmate side option for another 300 +...I say keep shopping, you a gas man? Lots of pellet, charcoal or gas units which won't hit the pocket book as hard in Stock just about anywhere. . leechlake
Let's keep the Holland talk going but if you can and you're going gas I'd spend a few bucks less and get a plumber to hook up a gas line to it. Never run out of gas, never have to run to the store in the middle of cooking (yep, we all have a spare and it's either empty or at our buddy's ice shack). and in the long run it's cheaper. Juneau4
Thanks Fellas from what I knew before and what's been posted I've pretty much decided the need doesn't justify the cost.
