Curing Salt

Where do you guys get your curing salt, went to target and cub last night and neither had it. Need to get some for my first shot at bacon

Mrklean, I used the Lem's Backwoods enhancer from Fleet Farm.

Ya, same place I get mine.  You'll find it were the grinders and stuffers are and sausage seasonings.  One pack like in the picture that JPZ posted cost under 2 bucks and is enough for 100 pounds [depending on what you use it for].  good luck.

Here are some additional options.  

Since you are in Rogers, they have all kinds of cure, seasonings, etc. at the Big C.

I have used Tender Quick to cure meat.  I've got that at Byerly's.

I currently have some bacon curing in the fridge.  I used pink curing salt from Williams Sonoma.

That's what I was trying to find was the pink curing salt I'll hit up cabelas or fleet farm.

Is the Lem's stuff basically the same as Cure #1 (or Prague powder)?
