Hunting land

Not going to ND anymore for pheasant.
Wondering where I could find a booklet or map that shows where the public hunting land is in MN.

Hey Dano,

Check the DNR's recreation compass on the DNR's web site. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/maps/compass.html You can view a map of the entire state and all the public land that is available. There are individual maps available but only for areas that are 10,0000(?) acres or more. Otherwise you can buy maps from the DNR called Public Recreation Information Maps (PRIM). http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/maps/prim.html These show the boundrys of all public land with some detail. I used them alot last year when I was jumping from one WMA to another during pheasant season.

Give the dnr a call in st.paul, that is where I got my first one. I'm not sure they still give them away free. The other one I picked up at the game fair or sportsman show.

hey heres a hint if you want good public land go up to the pequawmn area north of duluth we slaughter the grouse up there, write back with more ?'s and or detail..thanx
