Thanks man although I posted it more as a celebration of life rather than as a mourning of passing. She had a good life and was ready to go. It was much easier that she died in her sleep vs. having to put her down.

Reading your post reminds me of a brittany I once had, he was one of the best dogs I ever hunted behind. He is gone now but every once and a while I look through some hunting pictures. The memories I had with him always come back. I have a German Shorthair now and she is picking up where he left off. I just hope that he is still chaseing those willey roosters in the the big sky.

I know the feeling....Had a English Springer Spaniel that I had to put down almost ten years ago. Still look back at all the pictures and say "**** he was the best dog a guy could ever have." Brings a tear to my eyes at times. A really good hunting dog can be hard to find
