Jim's flashback spoons

Recommended Posts

What's people's opinion of them for Lake Superior fishing? I've heard the brand mentioned often in Lake Superior fishing circles and see them on local store racks but don't know much about them. Are they speed specific spoons? I mean can you troll them at any speed? If not, what's the ideal speed? I see some are sold with the single hook and some with the treble hooks. Why is that and what do others prefer?

Jim's Flashbacks make up at least 50% of the spoons in my boat.  So yes they work on Superior and Inland lakes.  I usually run them in the 2.2-2.8 MPH area. Siwash vs Treble, both have pros and cons.

IMO a siwash hook might give you deeper penetration with hook setting qualities plus once set tends to stay stuck over a treble.   If you watched video of a salmon strike you might get an idea on why a treble might hook more fish.
