PD vs Terrova

Other then the stow/deploy and footpedal, is the terrova built stronger/better then the PD? Better components? I need to justify the extra $3-400.

Way easier to install ipilot, plus you keep the footpedal.

Autopilot is better on terrova. more thrust on 24 volt version.

Should have stated I'll be ordering it with ipilot.

OK, 300 difference in msrp. Terrova has 80 dollar rebate. So for 220 you get easier stow/deploy and a foot pedal and 10 more pounds of thrust.

I'm of the school, buy the good one cry once. Save a few bucks on the cheaper one, maybe cry every time.

Seems to me every time I save a few bucks I am sorry. Bought my boat with a 40 merc instead of the 50 with power trim. Wah.

Bought the second boat with 115 4 cyl instead of 135 V6 or 150.... wah.

(getting a pattern here?)

I'm a little slow figuring it out sometimes. Too cheap for my own good.

Last year before I bought my new boat I was able to compare the two motors "almost" side by side on a fishing trip. I went with the Terrova for all of the reasons already mentioned. The only thing I might be regretting is that I bought too soon, I would love to check out the new Ulterra. Maybe they will be able to make this an accessory for the Terrova but I won't hold my breath.
