What Broadheads?

Your Rage will work just fine. I like a large diameter 3 blade mechanical myself. I've been using Rocket Mini Blasters lately with great results.

The turkey specific heads made for head shots work great, but you need to change your set-up to shoot them, not a good option for those of us who shoot year round.

I shoot the broadheads I use for deer. G5 T3's. I've heard people say they like to use dull broadheads or at least the less sharp. I think their theory behind that is if the arrows stuck in the bird it's harder to fly away. I used a new head and had the bird go about 20 yards before falling over.

I don't have to make a single change to my setup to shoot headshot broadheads. If you're interested in them, let me know. I live in the SW metro. I've got a dozen heads and some that I use for practice only. I use the Magnus Bullhead.

Otherwise I would find the largest diameter blade you can shoot well. I've lost one bird that I hot with a rage and I've chased down two others that were hit with Rage Xtreme's. If you're going for body shots, learn the anatomy and make sure you can hit a 2-3" circle every time with your broadheads on.
