What would it be? Is there an engine that is more reliable than others over the past 10 years? Years and models to stay away from?

I am looking for something with a longer track (144"+), reverse, and EFI.

I still don't know to much about these things so if there are other considerations I would like to hear them!

The 600 models have been generally very reliable over the years, dating back 20 years or more. They are the safest bet.

Ones to avoid IMO are 800's. The CFI 800 has been a real sore spot for Polaris and their owners. Even considering how bad the CFI 800 has been, the CFI 600 has been VERY good.

What are you planing on using if for? Fishing, trail riding, ditch banging?

One of my older sleds is a liberty 700 with over 6k miles on it and its never been touched. I make sure I clean the exhaust valves every year. I would buy another one in a second. Best motor I have every had and I haven't been exactly easy on it either, the motor just amazes me!

I have a 2001 700 Liberty with 6,500+ miles and runs like a champ BUT I do the routine maintenance like clean carbs and run only Amsoil in it. I think Amsoil truly has given my motor more life and power so keep that in mind. Also my 700 is a non-VES motor and my buddy has a 2002 700 Liberty VES and runs like a swiss watch I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another but it all depends on previous owners maintenance.

Good luck,

MR
