I pilot controller batteries

I bought new batteries for my I-pilot controller at Cabelas last year and they didn't seem to work right and ran out FAST... someone said those work but are not the same as the original batteries... where can you find the same kind as originals?

If it is a regular ipilot not link, minnkota HSOforum says

i-Pilot remote: One CR2450 coin-cell battery (included)

You can buy those many places, fleet farm most likely, or online at Amazon.

Buy two name brand ones from a large retailer that turns them over frequently (goes against my grain too but bigger turnover means fresher batteries and my boat is more important than my principles). Put one in the remote, one in the boat. The next year, buy another one, put the old "spare" in the remote, and the new one is now your spare. Lather, rinse, repeat each year. You're looking at what, $16.00 initially and $8.00/year after that? For one of the most important parts of your boat (at least it is on mine)? Seems like a no-brainer (except to all the "Tommy Tightwads").
